I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist located in Larchmont in lower Westchester, New York with specialized doctoral and postdoctoral training in neuropsychological evaluation and in psychotherapy. I have been in practice for over 25 years and I have extensive experience with all age ranges including children, adolescents and adults.
I am an experienced therapist with children, adolescents and adults. I understand that each
developmental stage requires specific, and often targeted, interventions that promote adaptation.
I enjoy the process of meeting with the parents of young children to help them understand the
needs of their child. Working with adolescents and pre-adolescents is particularly rewarding as
they are unique and special individuals who need nonthreatening guidance on the road to
independence. I also provide insight oriented therapy for individual adults and for couples. In this treatment there is greater focus on each individual’s history and the impact it has on present day behaviors and interactions. Increased self-awareness allows for greater control over life choices.
Neuropsychological testing involves the administration of a comprehensive battery of tests that identifies both strengths and limitations. The goals of the evaluation include both diagnosis and the development of individualized therapeutic interventions based on identified areas of skill and deficit. I provide skilled interpretation of neuropsychological test data and the accurate diagnosis of disorders such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities including both verbal and nonverbal learning disorders, traumatic brain injury, and psychiatric disorders, in both children and adults. Specific recommendations are included to help the individual optimize his or her potential.
