Adam WeissmanDr. Weissman is Founder, President, and CEO of the Weissman Children’s Foundation, a dissemination-based child mental health non-profit, and The Child & Family Institute, a mission-based multi-site behavioral health organization, with a joint mission to increase access to best practices/evidence-based treatments for underserved children, families, and communities throughout the U.S., and beyond. Dr. Weissman is President of the NY State Psychological Association CBT Division and the Westchester County Psychological Association, Past President of the Child Anxiety and Neurocognitive Therapies subgroups of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, nominee for Treasurer of APA Division 37, Child and Family Policy and Practice, and he is on the Board of Directors of several other mental health non-profits, including the NYC Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Association. Dr. Weissman has pioneered a unique Clinical Practice Dissemination and Implementation model (CPDI; Weissman et al., 2019) and has published 3 books, over 30 peer-reviewed publications, with over 100 professional presentations on disseminating and implementing evidence-based assessment and treatment and best practices with youth; he has won numerous service and research awards for his work. Currently, Dr. Weissman is launching a large-scale COVID-19 Relief Initiative bringing pro bono evidence-based support to children, families, and communities in crisis nationwide.
