Pediatric Gastrointestinal (GI) Problems:
Dr. Navidi is one of few psychologists in the Northern Virginia area who combines the following expertise:
- works with children
- understands a broad range of GI issues
- expertise in Clinical Hypnosis & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
He works frequently with local Pediatric Gastroenterologists.
Clinical Hypnosis & Brief Therapy:
Dr. Navidi has comprehensive training in the use of brief/short-term therapy techniques and clinical hypnosis through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He assists both adults and children who are struggling with chronic health issues, anxieties, phobias and panic disorders utilizing both Clinical Hypnosis and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Navidi is also the Founder and past president of the Northern Virginia Society of Clinical Hypnosis (NVSCH).
General Therapy:
Dr. Navidi treats individuals of all ages, couples and families with the full spectrum of mental health difficulties, including: depression, anxiety, panic disorders, critical incidents and emergency situations. He has a great deal of experience in treating child and adolescent behavioral issues and other family conflicts and frequently received referrals from counselors and school psychologists at local schools.
Corporate Consulting & Leadership Coaching:
In addition, Dr. Navidi works as a consultant to private corporations and the Federal government. As a consultant, he works with organizational leaders and teams to improve their effectiveness. He has also worked with a professional sports team in this capacity.
