About:

Amy GoldI specialize in clinical work with children, adolescents, and their families, providing couples, family, and individual therapy, and completing comprehensive psychological evaluations. I have been working for over ten years in a variety of settings, including residential treatment centers, schools, community mental health centers, private practice, and an outpatient hospital clinic. I am eclectic in that I use both a humanistic and systemic approach when working with clients. I have the unique ability to challenge clients in a compassionate, authentic, and supportive manner. I am relatable, down to earth, and meet the client where they're at.

I have received additional training experiences including completing comprehensive evaluations to assess for complications from prenatal exposure to alcohol and other substances, early childhood assessments and therapy, trauma work utilizing the evidence based treatment of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), court-ordered evaluations, and attachment work with families and youth who have been adopted. I am also in the process of completing certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and becoming endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Specialist. I hold certificates from the University of Minnesota in Permanency & Adoption Competency and Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. I am a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and am a Minnesota Board Approved Supervisor for Marriage and Family Therapists. When I'm not working, I enjoy hiking with my dog, playing with my cats, traveling, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, and spending time with my family.
