Amy Hebb
Dr. Hebb is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in both West Virginia and Virginia. She received her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology and Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University, Northern Virginia, and a Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Psychology from Fairmont State University (Fairmont, WV).
During her professional career, she has worked in various establishments which included teaching at a local university, as well as offering therapeutic and evaluative services in private practices, psychiatric hospitals, crisis care facility, chronic pain clinic, inner city and rural schools, and community support and outreach programs. She has most recently added equestrian assisted psychotherapy to her repertoire of therapeutic tools.
Dr. Hebb is experienced in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), as well as various mindfulness and psychoaromatherapy strategies to aid individuals in reaching set goals.
She believes relationships are at the heart of one's ability to cope with life's challenges. Genuineness and empathetic response cultivated by a healthy relationship promote a sense of belonging and self-worth, which each individual needs. Dr. Hebb enjoys increasing public knowledge about psychology and what the field can do to promote overall health and well-being. In making headway to merge mental and physical health, she earned a holistic health coach certification by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) to join nutrition with mental health perspectives.
