Ana DiRago
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in diagnostic assessments (psychological, neuropsychological and educational) of children (six and older) and adults. I have experience evaluating individuals with a wide range of presenting concerns in a variety of settings such as outpatient clinics, medical centers, rehabilitation centers, partial hospitalization programs, inpatient units, and research studies. (six and older) and adults.
My evaluations address issues such as: ADHD, learning problems, testing and work accommodations, complex psychological concerns, treatment-resistant mental health conditions, difficulties with “executive functioning.” (i.e., attention, concentration, time-management, organization, planning, emotional control, impulsivity, short-term memory) and other presenting questions.
I hold faculty appointments at the Stanford School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Palo Alto University/PGSP-Stanford Consortium where I teach Child Assessment and Personality and Psychopathology Assessment. I also conduct evaluations at DeAnza College to determine a student's readiness to return to school and service needs.
Before opening my private practice, I was the co-director of the Assessment Clinic at Palo Alto University’s Gronowski Center where I supervised advanced doctoral students on the evaluations of children and adults. Prior to my appointment at Stanford University, I worked at Children's Health Council where I led multidisciplinary team evaluations for children and adolescents suspected of having emotional and behavioral problems, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, severe and complex psychopathology, in-utero exposure to substances and autism spectrum disorders. I also conducted juvenile court ordered evaluations for San Mateo County.
