Antonia Caretto
I am a graduate of University of Michigan and Alliant International University California School of Professional Psychology, and Member of the International OCD Foundation and World Professional Association for Transgender Health.
I have been practicing Clinical Psychology in Farmington Hills since 1994, treating children, adolescents, and adults in a private office. My practice is evenly divided between child/teen and adult patients.
Though I treat mostly individuals, I always consider the individual within the context of their family, their culture, and their community. I will often consult with parents who are concerned about their children, before or instead of seeing the child in my office and am committed to working collaboratively with schools, psychiatrists and other physicians to provide the best treatment available.
I work with a wide range of people and a variety of presenting problems, however I do specialize in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders, Gender Variance and Dysphoria, and Seasonal Affective Disorder. Most of my patients began therapy with me specifically because of one of my areas of clinical expertise.
I do not bill any insurance companies directly however, depending on your particular insurance coverage you may be able to get some reimbursement for services I provide.
I am Fully Licensed by the State of Michigan Board of Psychology and all treatment is person centered and confidential. My office is within a thirty minute drive for most people who live in Metro Detroit and is less than one mile from the Orchard Lake Road exit on I-696.
My mission is to provide professional, confidential, evidence-based treatment for individuals of all ages consisting of thorough evaluations and expert interventions delivered with a caring style in order to facilitate both an expanded understanding of personal emotions and profound positive behavioral changes which result in fuller, happier lives free of internal psychological conflicts.
