Arlene NoriegaArlene Noriega is a bilingual, licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in a suburb of Atlanta. She received her Masters’ Degree in Community Psychology at Florida International University and received her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral training as a NIMH Minority Fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She was an attending psychologist & Assistant Clinical Professor at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School for 4 years. Dr. Noriega was an Associate Professor at Argosy University (then Georgia School of Professional Psychology) for five years before opening her private practice in 2000. Dr. Noriega has dedicated her career to mental health issues experienced by women, as well as children, and teens. She specializes in the childhood issues such as school difficulties, behavioral and emotional difficulties, women’s issues, affective disorders and trauma issues. She works with gender and sexuality issues experienced by children, teens, and young adults, and works with parents trying to navigate and understand their children’s journeys. Dr. Noriega is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and is currently on the Council Leadership Team of the American Psychological Association. She is a member of APA, the Georgia Psychological Association, and the National Latinx Psychological Association. She provides individual, family and group psychotherapy, as well as parent training, and school consultations.
