You are welcome here! If you are feeling anxious, have intrusive thoughts and/or compulsions, feeling stressed, "feeling blah" or unmotivated, we might be a good fit to work together. Or perhaps you are a parent or guardian of a child or adolescent that is showing similar behaviors and feelings, or is putting up a battle at every turn (homework, screen time, house rules) without knowing how to express themselves or cope. I'd like to help!
I tend to be able to bridge the gap between youths and parents, as some of my interests overlap with younger people: sports, video gaming, and social media use.
I approach my practice as a "tool building" exercise - where we work together to plan your goals, provide ways for you to cope with challenging situations in your everyday life, and practice them in session together. As we begin, the ball is primarily in my court, sharing concepts of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, as well as E/RP "Exposure and Response Prevention" for OCD.

As of April 28, I am conducting my practice 100% via virtual calls, which is very easy to set up. I plan to return to 100% in-office visits when possible to do so safely. In my experience, video sessions have worked better with a parent or parents of younger ones who might be more prone to distraction.
