Catharine Devlin
I'm a Clinical Psychologist with two specialty areas: 1. child and adolescent psychology and 2. eating and nutrition issues in both adults and adolescents. Eating and nutrition issues I treat, include eating disorders, weight concerns, emotional eating, body image issues, and compulsive exercise. Wherever you are in your treatment process, we will meet for a consultation to help you decide your next step. Therapy isn't just for those with a diagnosable eating disorder. If your relationship with your food is distressing, you may need support.
I use a rational, scientific approach to helping you develop peace with your body and with food. The goal is to use food as a source of enjoyment and nourishment rather than be something with so much power over you. I work within a body-positive, Health At Every Size (HAES) framework. After stabilizing eating behaviors, we will address other underlying issues.
In addition to eating disorders, I specialize in child and adolescent psychotherapy. It is difficult for the whole family when your child is struggling. I treat a range of youth and family problems. I work with your whole family and with children individually - utilizing family, individual , & play therapies.
