Catherine Smithmyer
Dr. Smithmyer, the director of Chesapeake Bay Psychological Services LLC since 2006, has been providing outpatient psychological services on Maryland's Eastern Shore since 2002. Dr. Smithmyer trained in the Philadelphia Child Guidance model of family therapy, completed the Devereux Foundation's APA-accredited internship in child/adolescent psychology, and earned her Ph.D. from the APA-accredited clinical psychology program at the University of Delaware. Earlier in her career, she taught undergraduate Psychology at the University of Delaware and Anne Arundel Community College and graduate Neuropsychology at Washington College, and also collaborated in the development of Kennedy Krieger Institute's Neuropsychology Department's ADHD Clinic. In addition to treating clients, she employs several other licensed mental health professionals and occasionally supervises practicum students in Walden University's doctoral psychology program.
