Christine BrendleDr. Christine Brendle, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, received her Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University’s Clinical Psychology Program. She completed her predoctoral internship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and her postdoctoral fellowship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

She has trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, schools, child development clinics, children’s hospitals, specialty health clinics, and acute care units for children and adolescents. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Brendle focuses her services on children, adolescents, young adults, families, and couples. Her clinical interests include oppositional defiance, anger, ADHD, anxiety (including selective mutism), school avoidance, depression, grief, relationship and family conflict, trauma, and adjustment difficulties. Dr. Brendle strives to work closely with medical providers to address physical symptoms that may have an emotional impact (e.g., sleep problems, chronic pain) and to provide motivation for behavioral change (e.g., obesity). Additionally, Dr. Brendle offers psychological evaluations to assess learning disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, memory impairments, and deficits in attention and executive functioning. Emotional, behavioral, and social factors, which can contribute to these presenting problems, are also assessed in all evaluations.

Skilled in research-supported therapies and assessment, Dr. Brendle strives to deliver treatment that is both individualized and effective. Dr. Brendle’s approach to therapy incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and parent management training. In her free time, Dr. Brendle enjoys cooking, reading, riding her bike, being involved in her church, and spending time with her family and friends.
