Dr. Westergaard is a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist specializing in mind-body health. She practices and teaches mindfulness meditation and is completing her certification as an iREST-Yoga Nidra instructor. Dr. Westergaard completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1994 (Univ. of Illinois at Chicago), and a post-doctoral fellowship ( Northwestern) with Dr. Jerry Sweet. She currently owns an outpatient mental health clinic in Sitka, AK, where she is the Clinical Director, supervising University of Alaska-Fairbanks students and local clinicians striving towards clinical licensure.

Outpatient services include: Neuropsychological assessment of Concussion/CHI/TBI, Memory Loss and Dementia, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Cognitive, neuromotor and/or sensoriperceptual disabilities associated with neurological and cardiovascular disease, as well as a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders. In addition to offering empirically validated best practices of mindfulness based cognitive-behavioral therapy and family systems therapies, mind-body health and wellness are core treatment values, and clients are given the opportunity to train in Biofeedback, Neurofeedback and Mindfulness meditation.
