I most specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and associated challenges with executive functioning, symptoms associated with Aspergers Syndrome or High Functioning Autism, disruptive behavioral challenges, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, shyness, social pragmatic communication challenges. learning disabilities, academic underachievement, relational difficulties, and life transition challenges.

My most significant specialization is in the diagnosis and treatment of ADD, AD/HD, Aspergers Syndrome or H.F.A., disruptive behavioral challenges, depression, anxiety, depression, anxiety, shyness, and related issues in children and adolescents. I utilize an eclectic cognitive-behavioral approach with an emphasis on best evidenced-based practices. Afternoon, evening, and Sunday appointments are available. I am the second of four sons, and I grew up in Minnesota. I earned my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California in 1991, and my B.A. in psychology from Columbia University in 1985. I have been married to my wife, Rebecca, since 1990, and we have lived in Woodinville, a suburb northeast of Seattle, since 1998. Rebecca works for the Washington Education Association. We have four cats, Cricket, Skyler, Ruby, and Theo. In my free time, I enjoy exploring a wide range of music and podcasts, reading, researching history, philosophy, politics, and current events, playing chess, collecting old books, maps, stamps, and ephemera, and exploring the wonders of Western Washington.
