Dr. Dinklage grew up on Cape Cod and obtained his A.B. in Psychology and Social Relations, cum laude, at Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical and Developmental Psychology with Dr. Paul E. Meehl at the University of Minnesota. He completed internships in general clinical psychology at the Minneapolis Veterans Administration Hospital and The Children's Hospital in Boston. He did his Post Doctoral Training in Neuropsychology with Jane Holmes Bernstein at The Children's Hospital in Boston as well. After working for the Somerville Public Schools and with Russell Barkley at UMASS Medical Center, Dr. Dinklage joined The Cambridge Hospital where he became the Director of Neuropsychology. He is a former President of the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society.

After 15 years full time with the hospital and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Dinklage expanded his private practice and founded Dinklage Associates in 2004. He remains a supervisor in neuropsychology at The Cambridge Hospital and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Dinklage has trained many neuropsychologists, taught interns, residents, and fellows. He has directed numerous courses through The Cambridge Hospital Series, and written articles, book chapters, and presentations on the broad topics of learning disabilities, attention problems and differential diagnosis.
