Deborah Silveria Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in 1993. She has a private practice in Costa Mesa, CA .where she works at the Amen Clinic for Daniel Amen M.D. She provides EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy with a focus in anxiety, depression, trauma and grief counseling. She works with children, adolescents, the elderly and first responders. Dr. Silveria is a EMDR Trainer. Training therapists nationally and internationally, most recently in Uganda, Africa. She donated her time to train therapists at non-profit agencies in EMDR. She is a member of the Counseling Team International, a counseling and teaching organization, that has over 100 contracts with law enforcement and fire departments providing CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) services. She also provides CISM, grief counseling and training for business and industry, contracting with numerous EAP’s (Employee Assistance Programs). She teaches at Cerritos College in their Foster and Kinship Program. She is a trainer for the Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) teaching individual and group crisis management. She has spoken at conferences in the United States and Canada on trauma treatment with EMDR.

In the past she has been the Clinical Director of Family Solutions Inc. a group home and foster care agency. She also worked for Olive Crest Treatment Centers as the Director of Day Rehabilitation for their Level 14 group home for seriously emotionally and behaviorally disturbed adolescent males. She was the Director of an Adolescent Unit of an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and Director of Partial Hospitalization for BHC Alhambra Hospital. She has taught numerous workshops on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and teaches courses for continuing education units for marriage family therapists and social workers.
