Dr. Hanson completed her first master of science in clinical psychology in 1977; her second master of counseling in family work in 1984; and her doctorate in clinical psychology in 1996. She completed her pre and post-doc clinical training in child and adolescent and neuropsychology at McLean Hospital, affiliate of the Harvard teaching hospitals. She is married and has one daughter and two granddaughters. She moved to Wilmington, NC in 1999 from the Boston area, where she practiced for many years.
