Donna Perlow
I am a clinical psychologist with 33 years of private practice, and with 10 years of experience working in a Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic. With my training and many years of experience, I have a gained a great depth of understanding about the human condition/emotional pain in general, and I understand too, the uniqueness of each person’s life experience/suffering. I am firmly committed to ameliorating that suffering in my patients. I am compassionate and respectful toward my patients, and provide an environment in which they can feel safe enough to reveal their struggles. I am psychodynamically oriented and help my patients make sense of the family history that contributed to their symptoms as well as any current relationships and stressors which might be informing these symptoms. I have seen that only with this insight and clarity can patients fully resolve and be freed from their symptoms and emotional pain. When I work with children, I always work with their parents as well. I attempt to empower and educate the parents about how to provide the healthiest form of structure and nurturance for their child.
