About:

Dr. Danielle Spearman-CamblardHi!  I'm Dr. Danielle Spearman-Camblard (also known as "Dr. Danielle" or "Dr. Dee" to my clients).  I am a CT licensed clinical psychologist, media contributor, consultant to organizations & churches, and speaker.  You may have read my media interviews in the popular press such as Business Insider, Insider, Inc., Blackdoctor.org, Reuters, and U.S. News & World Report.  I provide therapy services to children, adults, and families, in addition to psychological assessments and consultation services.

I have provided therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health disorders.  My style can be described as holistic compassionate care with a strengths-based approach.  I support clients in their journey to self-empowerment by highlighting their areas of resiliency through a caring and liberating therapeutic alliance.

My expertise and specialized interests include, but are not limited to, trauma-informed care, racial equity initiatives, play therapy, infant mental health, maternal mental health (including racial disparities of Black maternal health), culturally-competent & responsive services to families of color, race-related stress/racial trauma, and Christian counseling utilizing faith-based coping strategies to enhance resilience.  I have extensive specialized training in treating children & adolescents, as well as evidenced-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
