Elizabeth Geringer
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with the California Board of Psychology. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands. I received a master’s degree and doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University. While completing my internship and post doctorate fellowship at Reiss Davis Child Study Center in Los Angeles, I commuted quarterly to the University of California at Berkeley Extension in order to complete a certificate in neuropsychological assessment. In addition, I completed Autism training and certification in the ADOS-2 and ADI-R. In addition, I also completed a MS in Forensic Psychology to gain a better understanding in legal aspects of psychological testing, especially Independent Educational Evaluations.
My formal clinical training was as a PEDS fellow at Reiss Davis Child Testing Center in Los Angeles where I provided psychological testing for children while receiving extensive training in various testing materials, procedures and interpretation. After completing my fellowship, I continued at Reiss Davis as a licensed psychologist providing testing services for their Autism as well as psycho-educational clients. In addition, I was the research coordinator at Reiss Davis, acting as their primary researcher, trainer and liaison for a research collaboration with the University of North Carolina.
I am also an adjunct professor for California Lutheran University and California State University Channel Islands. The courses I teach include Psychophysiology, Learning and Memory, Child and Adolescent Development, Introduction to Psychology, Counseling and Psychotherapy, Psychological Perspectives of Men and Women, Parenting, Psychological Research and Statistical Methods I & II, and Theories of Personality.
