Elizabeth Loyola
Working with children, adolescents, and parents is a unique opportunity to provide families with support during an important time in life. Using a collaborative and empathic approach, I work hard alongside my clients to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. It's important to meet each person where they are at and help them meet their unique goals. In addition to my private practice, I am on faculty with UC Davis Health, where I provide therapy and conduct psychological evaluations, while also supervising and teaching psychology trainees and psychiatry residents.
I specialize in evidence-based therapy approaches to help children and adolescents deal with anxiety, stress, OCD, inattention, learning differences, and challenges with peers. My work also focuses on helping parents find ways to support their child, particularly those with challenging or confusing behaviors.
Extensive experience in thorough psychological assessments helps me sort out diagnostic possibilities, while developing a profile of a child's strengths and weaknesses, academic talents and difficulties, and emotional needs. Using a gentle, therapeutic approach to testing leads to more meaningful results and recommendations for both the youth and parents.
