Ernest Katz
As a clinical and pediatric psychologist, well-trained and academically connected throughout my entire career, I am committed to helping children, adolescents, and adults improve their coping with life and experiences of success and satisfaction in their relationships and pursuits. I offer evidence-based, time limited cognitive behavioral solutions to challenges faced by individuals of all ages, with the goal of increasing each client's capacity to move confidently into the future.
I received my PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Southern California in 1980, and I completed my clinical training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Human Relations Center of USC. I was a professor of pediatrics and psychology at the Keck School of Medicine and the Dornsife College at USC, and I am currently an adjunct professor. I was a program director at CHLA involved in clinical care, research, teaching, and education for over 30 years, and I now focus my full-time efforts on private practice. My wife and I raised 5 children of our own, and this personal experience has helped inform my real-world approach to helping individual excel and reach their personal potential.
