I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Vermont in 1985 and have been licensed as a psychologist in Maine for 34 years. I specialize in psychological evaluations of children and adolescents with suspected problems in learning, development, and behavioral and emotional regulation. Specific interests include the assessment of pervasive developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders in children, disruptive behavior disorders such as oppositional defiant disorder, and the impact of stressful events and exposure to traumatic experiences on child development and adjustment. Before I started Maine Child Psychology in 2011, I was the psychology director at MaineGeneral Medical Center, where I worked for 25 years. I remain on the consulting medical staff of MaineGeneral. I served as the chair of the Maine Board of Examiners of Psychologists from 2004 to 2018. Personal interests include bicycling, hiking, and guitar.
