Openness, curiosity, empathy, compassion, and creativity are personal attributes that shape the type of clinician that I strive to be. These characteristics have been helpful in allowing me to connect with clients and build strong therapeutic relationships, which I believe is a crucial ingredient to successful treatment. I don't view people as "sick," but rather they get "stuck" in a pattern of interacting with others and the world in a way that no longer works for them. I graduated with my doctorate degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago Campus. I relocated to Bakersfield, a place I now call home, to finish my internship at Kern Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (formerly Kern County Mental Health). I have several years experience evaluating and providing therapeutic services to children and families in outpatient community mental health, court-mandated and non-court-involved adults and families in private practice, and incarcerated youth. I am also a part-time lecturer in the Psychology Department at California State University, Bakersfield. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching Netflix, and doing arts and crafts.
