Ivette Castillo
I am a native Houstonian and fluent in Spanish. I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Notre Dame. I then attended the American Psychological Association accredited School Psychology Program at the University of Texas at Austin, where I received doctoral level training in providing assessment and intervention services for youths and families, in addition to providing consultation services to schools. I spent nine years working for Houston area school districts providing psychological services to children with various emotional and behavior problems. I have experience with disruptive behavior disorders (including ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and other emotional disorders. I specialize in the psychological assessment of children/adolescents, individual/group therapy with youth, and family therapy. With my knowledge of 504 and special education law, I am also available to advocate for the needs of students with disabilities and consult with school personnel. I have been in private practice since 2011 and am licensed as a psychologist and specialist in school psychology (LSSP).
