James Shaw
Dr. James Shaw is a psychology instructor at Walden University and teaches courses in General Psychology, Statistical Methods, Research Methods, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Biological Psychology, Human Growth and Human Sexuality. He also works as a clinical psychologist in private practice www.genuinepsych.com specializing in couples therapy and anger control. He received his Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree (PsyD) from Argosy University in Dallas, Texas. He has received advanced certifications from the Gottman Institute in Seattle, WA in couples therapy and the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City in anger and anxiety disorders. He formerly worked at The Ohio State University in family medicine where he worked with family medicine residents and supervised psychology PhD students. He has done work at acute hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, and community agencies where he has worked with most diagnoses. He has also performed
neurological assessments and supervised them. He has also taught psychology courses at Austin Community College, Concordia University, Columbus State Community College, Argosy University, Edinboro University, Gannon University and Mercyhurst University. He has published five books.
