janet Hazen
I have worked as a clinical psychologist for approximately 20 years, and as a learning specialist for over 7 years, in private practice and in school settings. Specialties include working with victims of intimate partner violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking. Many of my clients have PTSD and/or mood disorders, substance abuse or dependence, or acute stress disorder. I also see adults dealing with life transitions, relationship problems, work and career challenges, and spiritual issues. As a learning specialist and Educational Therapist, I also offer ADHD and organization coaching/consultation.
By holding sessions in your home or private office, I provide you the opportunity to enjoy privacy and comfort, while keeping fees reasonable. If you're interested in ADHD coaching, I will help you better arrange your physical environment to create a more organized, peaceful and productive work space.
Currently I provide therapy for adults living in convalescent hospitals dealing with chronic illnesses. My professional interests include death and dying, grief and loss, trauma, spirituality and faith-based psychotherapy. I live in East Oakland with 4 rescue dogs, and have a passion for animal welfare and advocating for lost, abandoned and neglected dogs.
