I believe that the best therapeutic relationship is one that is mutually developed between a therapist and a client according to the unique needs of the client. I will endeavor to create a safe and non-judgmental environment in which you may explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences from your life. I believe that change occurs when you are able to understand and accept your experiences in a new way that enables you to make effective life choices. In general, I utilize psychodynamic principles meaning that I integrate past childhood and family history with current issues to fully understand your experience. In addition, I also use family systems theory in understanding the patterns that develop in relationships and in helping clients to change those patterns.
