I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years’ experience working in diverse settings, including outpatient, private practice, child and youth partial hospital and youth residential treatment. My offices are located in Wexford right off Route 19 in MeadowPointe Plaza (near the Wexford Plaza) and in Butler on N Main Street near GetGo. Both offices are handicapped accessible and offer free parking.
My experience is most extensive in the treatment of children, adolescents and their families (including behavior problems, ADHD, anxiety, and parenting issues), although I also provide mental health services to adults and couples.
My basic approach to therapy is to help the client/family to identify and build on current strengths and become more aware of ways to use these strengths while also developing new skills (including new ways of thinking and interacting) that will be helpful in addressing the concerns that are presently causing stress/distress for the client/family. I have training and experience in abuse and trauma, anxiety and depression, relationship issues, anger management, coping with chronic pain or illness, additive behaviors, and a variety of other areas. At the initial session we will discuss the reasons for coming for treatment, gather relevant information, and begin to establish the goals for treatment. Daytime, evening and Saturday appointments are available.
