I have over 15 years of experience supporting and working with kids and families. I am co-owner of a mental health clinic in Woodbury, MN and love the work that I do! This is an especially challenging time and am grateful that telehealth is allowing us a safe, effective and practical way to continue to meet and work together for positive change.
I work with adults, adolescents, kids and families that are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, worried, stressed or depressed. I take a practical, collaborative approach in helping you or your child find healthy solutions to life's challenges. I enjoy working with adults challenged by parenting concerns, life transitions, ADHD, depression or anxiety. I have extensive training and experience in working with children and teens to improve behavioral & emotional regulation and work with kids with diagnoses such as ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression and autism.
My passion is working with kids, adolescents and adults in identifying challenges that might be holding them back - then problem solving strategies and practicing skills to overcome these challenges. I often use cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, problem solving and behavioral activation approaches to help create opportunity for positive and lasting change.
Sometimes kids need to specifically learn skills to understand emotions or to regulate. Adolescence can inherently be a time of stress. Transitions in adulthood and the day-to-day expectations can be overwhelming. Whatever stage of life or challenge that you are having - seeking and finding the right support can make all the difference!
