Julia Sollenberger
I am committed to working with children, adolescents, and families who are experiencing various mental health challenges. I work to develop a warm, positive, and trustworthy therapeutic environment with each client and utilize a collaborative approach to develop goals for treatment. My training includes a postdoctoral fellowship in child and family therapy at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University as well as a postdoctoral fellowship in child and family forensic psychology at William James College.
I provide evidence-based treatments to children and adolescents presenting with concerns such as depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, oppositional behaviors, and trauma-related symptoms. My work as a psychologist in a school setting also allows me to provide parents with insight into their child’s learning needs and school behavior.
Additionally, I have extensive training working with families who are experiencing high-conflict divorce and issues regarding child custody. I am able to work effectively with children and adolescents whose parents are in the midst of separation/divorce and provide guidance to parents around family transitions and co-parenting.
