Karen Mersky
My practice specializes in helping individuals reach their full potential, with a focus on those experiencing academic difficulties, attention issues, and heightened anxiety.
The psychoeducational evaluations I offer are individualized to presenting concerns and provide comprehensive information about how a student learns. Strengths as well as factors interfering with learning are identified, leading to practical recommendations that utilize strengths while supporting areas of weakness; these recommendations are further informed through my training as a former teacher and my training as a psychologist. My practice also includes diagnostic evaluations related to ADHD.
In addition to evaluations, my practice includes working with individuals seeking strategies to enhance organization, time management, and the ability to follow tasks through to completion as related to ADHD. I also work with individuals who seek help managing anxiety. My approach is to help individuals understand their difficulties while they learn cognitive and behavioral strategies that can be used to bring about change.
