I offer evidence-based parent training. I also offer evidence based CBT for 3-17 year olds managing anxiety and depression. For well over a decade, I held leadership roles in professional organizations; authored papers in scholarly journals; presented to local, national, and international audiences; and conducted research. Those activities deepened my knowledge of clinical training, organizational dynamics, school communities, childhood development, and co-parenting. At this time, most of my professional life is spent delivering psychological services in my private practice and collaborating with colleagues in the care of my patients. Volunteer and community work continues in the context of my private practice. I co-directed, co-produced, and co-authored and parenting video, which is free to the public. It is titled, "Parenting 101: A Comprehensive Model Informed by Psychological Science." It displays methods for expressing tenderness towards children, while at the same time maintaining parental authority. It was tweeted out by the American Psychological Association via APA Education. I’ll be co-developed and co-taught a grant funded innovative course at MIT “Developing Technologies for Mental Health” with Dr. Rich Fletcher in fall 2020. I have a blog on parenting which you can find in my website. It includes reflections of treating children and supporting their parents during COVID-19, with special attention to disparities and single parents. I’ve recently been recruited to support resliency in local schools by offering teacher support and education during turbulent times.
