I have an extensive educational background in child development, education, special education, school psychology,linical psychology, and mindfulness. I have functioned as an educator, psychotherapist, evaluator, and consultant. I have been active in the community in facilitating child abuse prevention, domestic violence awareness and services , and developing community-based and comprehensive mental health interventions and programs. I have served my profession by sitting on the Board of Psychologist Examiners in Colorado through which I was able to promote and monitor the highest standards of practice and safety to the consumers of psychological services. I am currently in private practice and provide a variety of services for children, adolescents, and adults through individual and family therapy sessions. I also complete psycho-educational evaluations with a specialty in the accurate diagnosis of ADHD and the identification of Twice Exceptional learners. The accurate diagnosis of all patients is an overall goal of my practice which I feel is essential in facilitating effective and successful treatment outcomes. To enhance this process, I am currently incorporating the emerging developments in neuro-science to expand the diagnostic and treatment planning process. I consider patient education to be a priority at every step of the process from admission to termination. I prefer to provide a team approach whenever possible by consulting with related healthcare professionals who can contribute to a positive outcome for the patient. In general, what interests me the most in my role as a psychologist is to offer my education, training, and expertise in facilitating an individual's journey in discovering his/her tremendous potential in fulfilling their life mission. I consider it an honor and privilege when an individual or family asks me to be a part of their personal process of discovery and change.
