Kimmy Ramotar
I take an empathic and supportive approach to therapy by establishing a safe space for my clients to uncover and explore painful emotions. Whether you’re experiencing chronic stress, feeling anxious or depressed, together we will identify goals for therapy. I tailor treatment to meet the specific needs of every client—with the aim of helping the client develop new skills, enhance self-awareness, foster positive change, and increase overall satisfaction and well-being. My specialized training includes both cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic treatment.
I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults. My specialties include the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, phobias, and interpersonal/relationship issues. I also work with clients who have experienced a wide range of traumatic events, including those grappling with loss and grief. Specific childhood disorders that I treat are selective mutism, social anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral problems.
