I am a licensed psychologist, children's book author, and yoga and meditation teacher. I work with children as young as 7 to adults of any age. I view our work as walking the path together to assist you on your journey toward wholeness. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, parenting difficulties, chronic stress, life transitions or the effects of trauma, we will collaborate to determine a personalized approach to our work together.
Some of the modalities I blend include insight-oriented therapy to deepen self-understanding, mindfulness practices to cultivate awareness and compassion, cognitive-behavioral interventions for symptom relief, and mind-body medicine for regulating the nervous system. With specialized training in yoga and meditation, I enjoy interweaving Western clinical psychology with Eastern wisdom traditions, including movement and mindfulness-based practices for a holistic, strengths based, mind-body approach to health and well being.
A perpetual student with “Beginner’s Mind,” I constantly seek additional training to enrich and complement my work as a psychologist. With a particular interest in the mind-body connection, I have 300+ hours of adult and children’s yoga teacher training as well as Integrative Restoration®/Yoga Nidra, Mindful Schools, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Reiki and Mind-Body Medicine. I offer these practices in workshops, psychotherapy groups, and community settings as well as in individual psychotherapy.
I also enjoy deepening my knowledge of additional psychotherapy modalities, such as play therapy, art therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy and culturally sensitive therapy.
