My goal is to partner with you, truly listen to and hear what you are saying, help you to identify the causes of your difficulties, then collaborate together to develop realistic strategies to effectively manage your feelings, improve your coping skills, navigate life's many challenges and most importantly, improve your overall quality of life. With more than 26 years of experience and a great deal of specialized training, I utilize a wide variety of strategies in my work with children, adolescents, adults and families experiencing relationship, transition, mental health, occupational, educational and behavioral issues. After earning my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, I completed a 2-year Post-docotoral Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavioral at Brown Medical School where I had the wonderful opportunity to learn from extraordinary mental health experts. Subsequently, I taught in that Department for 15 years before entering full-time private practice. While I have practiced and trained in community mental health centers, residential facilities, a sexual assault treatment center, a psychiatric hospital and directed a home-based therapeutic treatment program, serving clients in the private practice I started in 1994, with the personalized care it allows, is my true passion.
