Melissa Folk Jednoroz
I have been providing psychological and behavioral services in the Chicagoland and Grand Rapids, Michigan area for the last 15 years. In session I am empathetic and positive, working collaboratively with each client, in overcoming life challenges. Due to the vast amount of experience I have gained in both psychotherapy as well as behavioral modification, my therapeutic approach is diverse and can be non-directive, guiding the client at their own pace, or directive in nature. My goal is to assist each client to a happier, healthier, productive life, in a safe environment.
My clinical experience has focused on serving autistic, developmentally disabled, dually diagnosed, and traumatic brain injured clients of all ages and in a variety of settings. I also have experience with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, ADHD, and Marriage and Family.
I utilize principals of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapist, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and am trained in Applied Behavior Analysis. I began to work in private practice in 2014 and opened my own location in 2017. Please contact our office at your convince to schedule and appointment.
