Melissa Winter
Dr. Winter is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She completed her doctoral degree training at the University of Denver with an internship at Mississippi State Hospital, and a Post-Doctoral Residency with the Illinois Department of Corrections. Dr. Winter has significant experience working with diverse individuals in many different therapeutic settings including inpatient, community mental health, correctional, residential, educational, and private practice settings. Her experience has included working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, family, and group counseling. Dr. Winter is also an experienced evaluator and has worked closely with schools, police departments, and the court system in providing appropriate mental health evaluations and assessments. In addition, Dr. Winter also has extensive experience in victim advocacy, crisis intervention, and sex offender treatment. She has served as the Correctional Psychology Program Supervisor for Argosy University at Dixon Correctional Center in Dixon, Illinois and continues to enjoy supervising students and practitioners at various levels of mental health training. Her specific interests include Forensic psychology, assessment, and clinical supervision.
