About:

Michelle PeacockDr. Peacock completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Drexel University in 2005. In 2004 during her clinical internship at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, she worked with inpatients across the lifespan and received intensive training in severe mental illness including bipolar disorder, major depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and personality disorders. In 2016 and 2017 Dr. Peacock completed a forensic residency with Harvard trained forensic psychologist Dr. David Bernstein with whom she received specialized training in forensic evaluations, threat assessment, bullying, and high-conflict divorce cases.

In 2009 as an adjunct faculty member, Dr. Peacock taught for Drexel University’s Masters Program in Psychology. She has published scholarly journal articles in the Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Journal of Sexual Aggression, and Psychology, Crime & Law. She is coauthor of the chapter Case Formulation in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy in the Comprehensive Handbook of Psychological Assessment and coauthor of the chapter Cognitive-Behavior Therapy for Adults with Mental Retardation in the Encyclopedia of Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She has presented her research at scholarly conferences including the American Psychology Law Society, World Congress of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, American Psychological Association, and the European Association of Psychology and Law.

For three years, Dr. Peacock served as clinical coordinator of the Mentally Retarded Sex Offenders Project at MCP Hahnemann University and was actively involved in research regarding cognitive-behavioral treatment for sex offenders. She has conducted research in the areas of repressed and false memories, juror decision-making, physician-assisted suicide, and aggressive behaviors. Dr. Peacock was recipient of a grant award from the American Psychology-Law Society for empirical graduate research that addressed psycho-legal issues of competency to stand trial.
