Nancy Steckler
Life can be challenging. Some people struggle throughout their lives, while others are challenged when faced with illness or adversity of their own or of someone close to them. As a clinical psychologist, I provide individual psychotherapy for adults of all ages and school-age children (ages 4 to 12) with a variety of psychological challenges and mental health issues. When I work with children, I collaborate with parents as well.
My special expertise is with parents and siblings of people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and neurological and other medical illnesses/disabilities. This also includes adult caretakers of elderly parents. These family members are often overlooked, and I work with them on their own psychological challenges in these difficult circumstances.
My approach is to create a safe and accepting space for us to work together. I individualize the work to the person or group, tailoring our work together to fit your needs and unique situation.
