Patricia EGAN
Dr. Patricia Egan received her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has worked with clients from ages 4 to 99. She taught high school English, psychology and journalism for 33 years and has completed diagnostic practica at the University of Chicago Hospitals - Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She completed her internship in the college counseling program at Lake Forest College in Illinois. She has worked in private practice since 2008. She has an avid interest in childhood trauma and has completed a dissertation on the psychological effects of battered women. She has also administered and interpreted neuropsychological test batteries for physicians, including neurologists, to determine levels of dementia. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual, and she views a personal relationship as a path to understanding and wellness.
