As a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in Autism, I began my career providing neuropsychological and psychological testing, as well as therapy. However, several personal events in my life led to a shift in my professional goals. As I became more immersed in mindfulness at a personal level, I saw the benefits of this practice for ND (neurodiverse) children, as well as their caregivers. As an ND parent myself, I wanted to bring these teachings to other families. I started training in different mindfulness programs but couldn’t find one which incorporated everything I liked so I decided to create my own and the Mindful Village® program was born. Currently, I'm working on an online platform for this program, as well as a non-profit foundation to offer the program in communities with few resources.
