About:

Robin McLeodI provide individual, family and group psychotherapy, psychological assessment with adults and adolescents, and clinical supervision for pre-licensed providers. I specialize in working with teens and adults who struggle with many mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, terminal illness, complicated grief, chronic pain, autism spectrum disorders, and other disabilities that interfere with daily living. When I work with couples and families, I focuse on improving relationship communication skills so that family members can solve problems more effectively. With adolescents and adults struggling with the social and emotional challenges of autism spectrum disorders, I help people identify the ways that this particular way of being in the world is both a strength and a challenge, and then identify specific skill sets that need to be learned. In addition to my work directly with clients on the autism spectrum, I work with parents of children, adolescents and young adults as they struggle with the unique challenges of parenting a child with developmental disabilities or chronic mental illness. Prior to becoming a psychologist, I was a high school English teacher and debate coach. As such, I enjoy speaking in the community on topics ranging from parenting teens in the digital age to succeeding in college with Asperger Syndrome.
