Robin Treptow
An Assistant Professor of Psychology (online) at Divine Mercy University, Dr. Treptow teaches courses in empathy, and ways of growing, and being under a Catholic-Christian lens. Her Catholic-branded practice is in line with the Magesterian. Her deepest desire is to change the stories we tell ourselves, or others tell us, about how well we or our children will do over time. Dr. Treptow’s recent scientific studies look at how children’s doctors think about babies who have early problems (e.g., implicit bias), including what they might tell parents to expect as the babies grow up. Under a Catholic social justice lens, she challenges the negative prophecies that early intervention and pediatric practitioners often give such babies. Under a reflective lens of faith in God’s enduring love, she seeks good for all.
