About:

Romulo Valdez, JrI have intensive training in clinical psychology from the Department of Psychiatry at both Dartmouth and Harvard Medical Schools. In addition, I have 33 years of extensive experience in working with children, adolescents and adults suffering from a wide range of diagnoses across all socioeconomic strata. In addition, I have training and experience in providing evidenced-based treatment in the areas of meditation, yoga and sound therapies.

My focus is to help people explore the big picture in their life, not just one symptom or challenge and to help them begin the process of discovering what brings joy, meaning and purpose to daily living. My valuable training and deep interest in both traditional and alternative treatment modalities has informed my way of working with people that is both scientifically based and innovative in nature.

Healing is an inherent characteristic of being human. By listening closely to the "teacher within" each of us, we learn the art and practice of living in health rather than in dis-ease. If you find yourself stuck in a life pattern of pain and suffering and you'd like to achieve a life-style of optimal functioning, take this opportunity to do a serious study of your whole health: physical, emotional, relational, environmental and occupational. Begin the process of experiencing a sense of ongoing well-being.

My forte is in working in a group format with those dealing with anxiety, depression, chronic pain and other stress-related disorders. I have developed a unique protocol of treatment that includes meditation, conscious breathing, movement, mantra and sound therapy that is very successful particularly with those that have tried other therapies without success. I also have a strong and successful practice in working with individuals struggling with life transitions, and, with couples and families in crisis. You have an important story to tell and a new story in the making. Call today and let's begin your process of transformation!
