Life is a dynamic and ever moving process. As humans, we are constantly driven towards growth and potential, while simultaneously trying to defend ourselves from the suffering and pain that so often affect our lives. Psychotherapy offers the possibility of enhancing awareness and understanding of oneself, ones experience of the world, and ones unique style of managing life’s challenges. Through the process of effective psychotherapy people often move beyond the removal of problems or symptoms towards acceptance and awareness of self, and further towards actualization of personal potential. Psychotherapy can be hard work requiring a commitment of time, money, and energy. However, effective therapy is an enjoyable and rewarding process for many participants. Psychotherapy can provide significant results with improvements in self-awareness, self-acceptance, quality of life, social and relational skills, symptom reduction, and general health and wellness.
