My training and background stress the importance of using evidence-based practices (i.e., researched therapy techniques that have been shown to work with various problem areas). I am committed to helping you overcome any struggle you have by providing you with the best care known within the psychological community.
I primarily implement Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), but tend to incorporate interventions taught within Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Family Systems.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, disruptive behavior, attention/hyperactivity/impulsivity issues, trauma, relationship/social skills difficulties, stress management concerns, and family systems issues. I have received specialized training in anxiety disorders at Texas Children’s Hospital, including the treatment of OCD (via Exposure and Response Prevention), panic disorder, illness anxiety, separation anxiety, selective mutism, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety.
I provide individual, family, and group therapy. I have worked in schools, homes, community mental health agencies, outpatient military hospitals, inpatient medical hospitals, and primary care settings.
