Stacie Shivers
I graduated from the Combined School-Clinical Psychology Program at Yeshiva University, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I have gained various experiences working in community mental health, hospital, school, and private practice settings. I use an integrative approach to treatment, combining specializations in psychodynamic therapy and evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. My interest in the mind-body connection along with my background as a professional dancer/dance educator gives me the unique opportunity to also incorporate movement-based interventions that support an increase in emotional/behavioral regulation. I have expertise in treating children, adolescents, and young adults, presenting with a range of different challenges including, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, ADHD and related learning disabilities, life transitions, family conflict, and other interpersonal challenges.
