BACKGROUND: With degrees from Duke University (Ph.D.) and UNC-Chapel Hill (B.A.), I have 28 years of experience working with adults, college students, adolescents, and children. PRACTICE AREAS: I can help you with anxiety, depression, mood swings, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, relationship problems, and academic/learning/attentional problems stemming from ADD, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities. My goal is to help you improve the quality of your life.

TRAINING: Duke Child Guidance Clinic, Children's Psychiatric Institute (John Umstead Hospital), Child Psychiatry Clinic (Dix Hospital), and the NCSU Counseling Center. I am experienced with developmental issues across the life span. THERAPY: I offer individual therapy for adults, teens, and children; couple's therapy, marital therapy, and group therapy for adults. I have three therapy groups (late afternoon/early evening) that help you learn skills/tools to improve your relationships in work, school, social, or family environments. ADD/ADHD/LD: I help adults, adolescents, and children cope with ADD, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities via a screening process that documents and treats the problem and ensures that they receive appropriate accommodations in school or at work. I collaborate with employers, public and private schools in NC, and colleges and universities across the country regarding ADD, ADHD, and LD concerns and issues.

INSURANCE: I have recently affiliated with Cigna PPO, and I also work with all PPO Plans (including BCBS,UBH) that offer coverage for BOTH in-network and out-of-network providers. Please call the office if you have questions or need more information.
